IRL digi crops and new CT news!

Last month when I went to the digi scrapping retreat, those of us that live in my area decided we wanted to get together again and scrap. So last week we all ventured out and met downtown for a fun night of digi scrapping. And I have to tell you, not only is it cool that I have other digi scrappers in my area, but they are all really talented and nice too.

When I went to that retreat last month, it was the first time I had ever met anyone that I had only 'met' online and it was a little scary. I almost backed out and didn't go, lol. But I am glad I went and I am really glad I can meet up with other digi scrappers now and then for a in-person crop.

So here is the page I made while scrapping with my new friends last week. Playground Play (click here for credits/journaling). And a quick thanks to Amy Martin for sharing some of her goodies with me last week!

And here are a few other pages I made this week:

Rock Star (click here for credits)... and thanks to Dani Mogstad who so kindly shared her Rock Star kit with me.

Central Park Zoo ( click here for credits)... and I just love the bird ( by Tracy Monette) in this!

And now I have to tell you one of the most exciting things that happened to me this week. I was chosen to be a part of the Little Dreamer Designs store creative team! I about fell off my seat when I saw the e-mail, and I am still so excited about it :) And now Jackie Eckles is selling at LDD too (along with Michelle Coleman and Lori Barnhurst)! Well, anyway, here is my first layout for LDD using Michelle Coleman's Chasing Rainbows kit, which is so colorful and pretty.

(Oh, and for my non digi family and friends, you may know the name Michelle Coleman because she also designs paper scrapbook products for Fancy Pants.)

Have a great day! And here's a cute wink for you...

Just a little behind schedule

Here are just a few pages that I haven't posted lately for my family's viewing pleasure! :)

These pages are of photos I took when we were all at Star Lake (New Jersey) for my Mom and Dad's retirement weekend.

Here is another Disneyland page.

And here is my sweet little girl, Rachel, sharing the dog's water. Isn't she so sweet? LOL

Always something fun in Digi Land!

This has been a busy week for us, my sweet little one turned two! I can't believe she is already two. With a farm theme, I created a invite using products from Mo Jackson and a little piggy cake that was a hit with Rachel. And you can see that she enjoyed a little finger painting too! LOL

Big digi news #1... Nancy Comelab is moving shop! I can't tell you where, but I can tell you that EVERYBODY will be enjoying her new store. For now though, you'll just have to live without any new products, but only for about a week though before she debuts in her new setting. And when she does, she'll also have some new cool products for us!

By the way, if you are not fortunate enough to know Nancy, she is one of the most kind and generous people around... not to mention how very talented she is!

And big digi news #2... This has got to be one of the coolest contests going right now, and I have to say it is certainly the most creative! Here's the low down...

Buy the new Sausan Designs kit at Scrapbook Graphics without knowing what it looks like (hence the blind date contest name). Create a layout using the kit and post it to the 'blind date' gallery at Scrapbook Graphics by Sunday the 20th for a chance to win.

Three prizes will be given awarded, and all three prizes are great. But the top prize is unbelievable generous... a stint as a guest creative team member for *6* months! Not just one, but 6 months of free Sausan Designs products... can you just imagine... :)

And time for a few layouts. Two pages of my Little Miss and two pages of my Littler Miss.

1. First Grade (view credits here). BTW this kit was a freebie, just for signing up to receive the Little Dreamer Designs newsletter.
2. Magic of Disney (view credits and journaling here).
3. Brushing Papa's Hair (view credits here).
4. First... (View credits and journaling here).

And this last page was a rescrap using mainly Tracey Monette products. If you click on the 'see credits here' up above you will also see the original page.

I hope everybody has a great day!

Vacation Photos and National Scrapbooking Day

Exciting news, My gallery was highlighted on National Scrapbook day at 2 Peas in a Bucket! Ok, well exciting for me anyway, lol.

I've been working on some vacation layouts the last few weeks, which is a good thing because I am so behind. I have three East Coast vacations, three trips to Disneyland and various other small trips to scrap. Boy, oh boy, talk about behind, lol.

So I already posted one of my New York pages below, here is one more and a couple of Washington DC pages. All from our most recent trip to the East coast last fall.

1. Go Yankees (credits and journaling here)
2. Long Walk (credits and journaling here)
3. US Supreme Court (credits here)

And a page from our Spring trip to Disneyland.

1. One Eyed Betty (credits here). On a side note, Elizabeth is pretty upset with me that I named her 'one eyed' she would much rather be 'one legged betty', LOL.

And a page from one of our Whidbey Island trips two summers ago, when my brother was married on the beach.

1. Island Wedding (credits here)

Ok, that's enough pages for now.

National Scrapbooking day... sales are everywhere! What are you buying?

Well, I am definitely hitting Designer Digitals with their coupon for 25% off, they only have four sales a year and I'm not missing it! Then I am off to the Lily Pad for 20% off. And I already hit the Funky Playground sale which is 25% off. And let's see...

Oh, let me tell you, if I weren't on the creative team for Sausan Designs she would definitely have all my money. She has been releasing the coolest elements sets and you have to go check them out at Scrapbook Grahics.

And speaking of Scrapbook Graphics, the voting has begun for the Queen of the Crop contest and the layouts posted are so cool. I already voted, which cost $2 but you get a rather sizable grab bag full of goodies in return. Very cool.

Ok, it's probably time for me to get on with my day. The signal for that is my husband and daughter keep coming into the room and standing over my shoulder, lol. It's not like I didn't make them breakfast and coffee before getting on the computer, what more could they want? Just kidding, lol.

Have a great scrapping day!
