Girly Girl Already
I have caught Rachel walking around with purses already, and she’s only 12 months old. She seems to find a different one of Elizabeth's purses each day, and she carries it around the house. She’s already a ‘girly girl’.

Papers by Shabby Princess. Glitter title and dots from the Girly Girl elements pack by Melany Violette at Simply Clean Digi Scraps. The sequins are by tandika. Brushes are Antiquated Swirls and Playing Around from ScrapGirls. Glitter bracket is from Shabby Princess’ studio chic kit.

Coffee House Chess
This layout was done by my friend Tracey of her daughter Taylor and Elizabeth.
Journaling: "This game could probably fool you for a moment. But don't let it. Elizabeth & Taylor truly had no clue what they were doing while "playing" at playing chess. And yet it kept them happily occupied. That is, until the next game took over their imaginations. February 20, 2006."
Happily occupied so we could drink coffee and talk scrapbooking, lol.

The Moral Is...Always Obey Your Mother
I have redone the 'stuck' page to include why that photo reminds me of myself. And then when I began adding journaling, I just kept changing things until this is what I ended up with.
Journaling reads:
“Like mother like daughter.
When I was in the second or third grade I disobeyed my mother. Just once, mind you. Instead of going inside to change out of my Sunday dress, I waited until everybody else went inside. Then instead of following them, I ran back to the tree and climbed up. All the way to my favorite branch where we kids loved to jump from. Ready, set, jump.
But I didn’t land. No, instead of landing, my dress caught on another smaller limb. And there I was, hanging from the tree by the back of my dress, which was pulled up around my waist, showing off my panties for the entire world to see.
All of my family was inside changing out of their church clothes, so I just waited. What else could I do?
And then a truck drove by. The truck stopped, backed up, the man driving it started laughing, and then he drove away.
So, the moral of this story is, always listen to your mother! Oh, and don’t climb trees (or bedposts) in dresses.”

Products: Papers, rubons, alphas (moral) from Michelle Underwood’s Spring and She kits. Alpha (mother) from Rock and Roll kit at Scrap Girls, but I redid the letters with papers from Michelle Underwood. Girl doodle from ModScraps. Font is sexy from Digital Design Essentials. I think that is everything…

There Ain't No Bugs On Me
Rachel didn't get in on the bug action with Elizabeth. She watched from her swing and skipped the creepy crawly feeling.

Lady Bugs
Journaling: One Spring day we bought a bag of ladybugs. To help our garden? Maybe. To please Elizabeth? Definitely. April 2006
Quote on tag: “Lovely little ladybug, sent from heaven above, please watch over my garden, and fill it up with love.”

From ScrapbookElements, Doris’s Creepy Crawly Bugs set. From ScrapGirls, blue paper from the Rock and Roll kit and staples from the Refresh kit. Chipboard alpha by J. Crowley.

Kenan's Fourth Birthday
Kenan's Fourth Birthday.
I made these layouts for my nephew Kenan with photos from his birthday party. I cut up and used parts of his birthday invitation courtesy of Tracey who designed it for him.
Kenan is totally into superheroes right now, in particular he loves Spiderman and Batman. This comes after two years of loving Buzz Lightyear more than anything. He and Elizabeth share this love of superheroes and love to use their imaginations and play superheroes together.

First layout: papers and elements from Ronnie McCray's Swimming kit. The title and cartoon Kenan with the Spideys were created by Tracey Monette (Clever Monkey Graphics).
Second layout: Papers are from the Flair Extras kit by Robin Cabana. The stitches are from... I just don't remember. The rubons are from Michelle Underwood. The doodle font is by Taran Conyers. Cartoon action on Kenan and the title (recolored) are created by Tracey Monette (Clever Monkey Graphics).

Daddy's Little Angel
Daddy's Little Angel.
As soon as I saw that picture of Elizabeth holding her squirt gun, I immediately thought of Charlie's Angels, and had to think of a way to incorporate that into the layout. She may love Power Rangers, but when I was little, I was a huge fan of Charlie's Angels.
When I played with my friends, it was always Charlie's Angels.
I always wanted to be Farrah, of course.

Papers from Earthen Vessel at ScrapGirls (including stars). Used the star stamp from the Rock and Roll kit at SG as a template. Staples from Blossom Blast at Sweet Shoppe. I know my Charlie’s Angels silhouette isn’t that great, but it was my third try. I’ll probably try it at least one more time before I actually print, but I think I need a break, lol.

Little Girls Love Their Makeup
Little Girls Love Their Makeup.
I had to take pictures that day in December when Elizabeth came to show me her beautiful makeup job. I mean, do you know anyone else that can put the blush on just so perfectly? And her eyes, with that beautiful lavender that matched her shirt. And ooooh, those shiny lips! She is just such a little beauty!
And take note of who designed these papers, which work perfectly for this layout! You may just discover that they were designed by someone that some of you know...

All products used from Tracey Monette's Spring Paisley kit at Clever Monkey Graphics (soon to be available for purchase online).
