hey alissa, did you happen to recently update your internet browser? when i updated to ie 9, i had a crazy horrible time with blogger. it's a SIMPLE FIX. up at the top of the page, near the addy bar, you'll see an icon of a torn page. click it so it turns blue instead of gray. then it works.
like i said, i'm not sure if this applies to you at all, but it worked for me & your issue sounded similar. hth.
