Back to my regular inconsistent postings!

Well, it takes me a while to get back into the swing of things after vacation, but I think I'm getting back to my regular schedule now. So yes, that means I'll blog, then forget for two weeks, then blog again, LOL. No, hopefully I'll be a better blogger this year, although I wouldn't say that was a goal I'm working on, just something that would be nice. ;)

During the first week back at school my 2nd grader was scheduled to be 'star student' for the week. Which means, she got to bring things from home and tell her class about them and her hobbies, etc. She was so excited, so I offered to make her a poster with a bunch of photos so that her poster would count as one item instead of bringing 5 photos that count as 5 items, always gotta be thinking about those things you know, lol. She liked that idea, and I really wanted it to be special for her so that she could really feel like a 'star'. So I made this poster for her and she thought it was the coolest, and her class mates thought she was so lucky because she had a real poster, with her on it that was all about her, lol. I made it 12x18 and printed it at Costco.

I used: Nancy Comelab, Amy Hutchinson, Two Sisters, Ana Aspnes, Christina Renee, Michelle Coleman, Amy Martin and Jackie Eckles. I think that is it...

So apparently, if the (we switched subjects to TV now, lol) writer's strike continues much longer, CBS is going to run some SHOtime series rather than repeat old material and give us even more reality and game shows (of which I am not a fan). I personally think this is a great idea! The first show that they will air is Dexter, which is one of my favorites. It's a forensic show with a twist; the main character is a blood splatter specialist who also just happens to be a serial killer. I think even with cleaning it up for regular television, it will be worth watching. Heck, I'll probably even watch it again even though I've seen the original.

And let me just say that after watching the first season, I didn't know how they could come up with a second season that would be as good. The did. Love this show!

Okay, on to scrapbooking...

Wow! I think that that star student idea is a great one. What a lucky girl to have such a perfect poster just for her.

I REALLY hope the strike is over soon. I am going to go crazy with no Grey's Anatomy. Reality shows are really getting annoying.

What a great poster and great mom you are. Fab idea and I'm sure all the kids went home and told their moms about it. I haven't seen Dexter but heard about it. Wondered how it was gonna go "cleaned" up. Will check it out. Great layouts.
