No longer MIA

I know I've been MIA, but it has been busy these past few weeks.  Busy both personally and professionally. Even though I haven't been putting anything in the store, I have been busy creating. But I'll get to that a little later.


I know many of you have already began your school year, but we haven't ended our summer vacation yet up here. One more week and then the girls will be back to school. Of course it's a little bittersweet because my Rachel is starting kindergarten. Where does the time go? (sigh)

She is such a cutie pie though and constantly cracks me up.

A few weeks ago she decided she wanted to read the palms of  her sister and Daddy.  First she read her Dad's palm: You have a future and your family loves you.  (ooh, good fortune!).  Then she read her sister's palm: Your family loves you and certain death.  Certain death? LOL Oh boy, she doesn't have a flair for the dramatic does she that little five year old drama queen.

I'm going to miss her when she goes to school.

Back to school, back to school....

Ears and Teeth!

I took Elizabeth to get her ears pierced!

She's ten and she's been wanting to do it, but she's been a little scared. She finally decided she wanted to do it. We arrived, picked out the earrings, sat in the chair had the piercing guns up to her ears (they do both at the same time) and then she chickened out. LOL

Of course, by then I had to pay whether she pierced her ears or not, although I told her I wasn't going to force her, lol.  So with many big breaths and a little freaking out, she finally did it.  And she's so happy that she did too.  :)

Rachel bumped her tooth and it was beginning to turn gray, so we took her to the dentist.  She's such a big girl, so brave, and now she's also toothless.  And she'll remain toothless for about 2 years too, so it's a good thing she makes a very cute toothless five year old.

On our way home from Arizona we stopped at the Hoover Dam on the Arizona/Nevada border.  It was 111 degrees and we were wearing flip flops; our feet were burning from the sun above and the hot street below. I do believe we made a poor decision in our footwear, lol.

I'm back! Not that I ever mentioned I was leaving, lol...

My house has exploded with toys now that Rachel is home to play for the first time in three weeks. I can't pick up because she is totally playing with EVERYTHING, lol.  But at least it's just one kid, Elizabeth is back at camp again, this time for music camp.  I think she'd spend the whole summer at camp if she could, she loves it there.  But then again, what's not to love about summer camp?  :)

If you've tried to get into my store lately you'll know the store is down, something broke... or something like that, lol.  It'll be back up as soon as they can get it back up.  :)  Of course it's not like I've put anything new in what with having been on vacation, so you're not missing too much! :)
