Those kids:
Rachel has been cracking me up lately.
While brushing her hair this morning she told me that I need to be careful, she's a little fragile.
But when I asked her how she got her skinned knee, she told me that was how she became a 'grampire'. Really, a grampire? Yes. Apparently she died and came back to life as a grampire, now she kills people with her teeth. Oh, the joys of having an older sibilng to teach her these things, lol.
A grampire, lol.
And Elizabeth has had her first softball game today... sort of. It wasn't a real game, it was jamboree day with 'fun' games. Yes, fun, but also to see how the other teams are playing, lol.
She played first base and she did excellent!

Time Warp - it's just a jump to the left....
Spring Foward:
I woke up this morning by the sweet buzzing sound of my alarm and after I hit snooze a couple of times I did get up. I moved Elizabeth towards the shower to get ready for school, then I sat down with a hot cuppa joe and spent a little bit of time on the computer.
As I was getting ready to walk Elizabeth to the bus, Shaun looks at me and says, "What is she still doing here? You're going to have to drive her now."
I'm still completely oblivious, even after that comment, while I look at him like there's something wrong with him and tell him that there is plenty of time to get to the bus.
That is about when I realized that I am now officially a time change dork. More than a full 24 hours after the time change and I am just realizing that my daughter's bus left almost an hour ago.
Just call me a time change dork, I've officially joined the club. And I can't even come up with a good excuse, lol.
Here is what I have new in the store this week:
Sprinkles
Irish Eyes
Leprehaun
Here are a few layouts:
Well, I have a full day today and an hour late start, lol.
Happy birthday to Shaun, my sweet husband!

Fear Factor
Why are my kids scared of flies?
I mean really, of all the things in the world to be scared of, they choose flies. Elizabeth won't use her bathroom, because there is a fly in there. If Rachel sees a fly, she'll shriek and run the other way.
I don't get it.
My kids are wierd. LOL

Middle of the floor
Today Rachel left her boots in the middle of the family room, just as I was getting ready to vacuum.
"Don't leave your boots in the middle of the floor please," I said.
She turned to me and said, 'That's not the middle of the floor Mama. This is the middle of the floor."
I said, 'Don't you sass me!' LOL
She responded, "I wasn't sassing you. I was telling you where the middle of the floor was so you would know next time."
LOL, little twerp. Good thing I love her so much. :)

Time to get out in the garden!
I love the sun!
The weather has been gorgeous this week here in the Pacific Northwest. the kids have been really enjoying their time outdoors after a dreary winter season.
Let me tell you, spring fever has definitely hit! I just wish our backyard was ready for us. At this pont I have to make Rachel wear her rainboots in the backyard pretty much every day, even when it's not rainy, lol. But the plan is that this summer we are going to begin transforming our yard.
We plan to extend the deck into multiple levels off of the family room, build a dog run on the side of the house, extend the deck off the sun room, add pathways, add a patio with a fire pit and then lots of shrubs and bark. We will be a grass free backyard, and the garden will be through the yard, not just on the edges. I cannot wait. I loved our yard in our old house and am so looking forward to having a yard here that is enjoyable to spend time in. Yay!
New Release today, on sale Sunday and Monday only:
Seeing as how I am in an outdoorsy kind of a mood, it was the perfect time to put together an outdoorsy kind of a kit. :) So here it is, Alissa's Lil Garden!
Lil Garden from PICK A PAPER by Alissa Jones exclusively at SBE.
Here are a few layouts using this kit:
1. Garden Girls
2. Lil Green Fingers
My little one has had a love of the outdoors since she was an infant. If she was crying and wouldn't stop, all we had to do was step outside with her and the crying would stop instantly. She loves to help her Dad do yard work, whether we are talking about watering plants, cleaning up brush or putting something new in the ground. She is her Daddy's little helper. :)
3. Papa's Garden
My dad loves to sit on his front porch with a cup of coffee enjoying his garden.
4. Dog Grooming Rachel Style
Here are some photos of Rachel dumping bark all over the dog, and the dog enjoying every minute of it, lol.
Don't forget my CT call: I am looking for some new Creative Team members, both full-time and on-call.
Check out the previous post for details!

Little Piggies & Scrapping News
This morning while at the grocery store the clerk told Rachel that her little piggies were cute (she was wearing her braids looped, or as we call it, princess braids). After we walked away from the clerk Rachel turned to me and said, 'She didn't mean it mommy.' She didn't mean what, I asked. 'She didn't mean to call me a little piggy' she said, lol.
I'm a little late showing off some new products, but here they are:
Libby & Jack from PICK A PAPER by Alissa Jones
{exclusively at Scrapbook-Elements}
And here are some layouts using the kit:
So, digi scrappers, have you heard the news that DST has been sold? I think it will be interesting to watch and see what happens at DST. I think we all know it's been a bit slow over there lately, but I'm definitely sticking around to see what happens next. :)
But on the other hand, Ripal has also started a new gallery and forum that focuses on digi scrapping called Scrappers Online. I just registered today, and if you haven't registered yet, go check it out right now!
The ever changing world of digital scrapbooking... :)
Oh, and I almost forgot I also have two new alphas in the store: Black Acrylic Alpha and Mixed Up Alpha. The Mixed Up alpha uses 4 different patterns and the two alphas coordinate nicely.
Okay, must run now, catch you later!

our house is mostly sick free now... mostly...
So Rachel's fever keeps coming and going, but I think we're finally through it since her fever has now been gone 24 hours without returning. Yeah! But her cough has been diagnosed as croup, but hopefully since she's been coughing for a week now, it should be on it's way out the door too.
She finally gets to go back to school today after being out for a week. Poor kid, she's dying to play and see her friends. :-) And we don't have to cancel any more play date, which is also a good thing.
We recieved our new Keurig machine - oh how I love coffee.
The smaller, older one we have is going to Shaun's office so that he doesn't have to go to Starbucks anymore. Sorry Starbucks! ;-)
An here are a few layouts:
All from PICK A PAPER by Alissa Jones. Templates 2, Lil Pets, Mood Swings.

Greetings from the sick house...
Oh goodness, sometimes I don't even realize how much time has passed until I realize I haven't updated my blog! LOL
We have been sick in our house all week, so not much of anything has happened around here. Except the destruction of the house. Does that happen to you as well? When everyone is home sick, the TV is on non-stop and toys just spread ALL over the house. Let's just say, I'm tired of cartoons and stepping on Barbies. LOL
Here are some recent releases:
Alissa's templates #2
Alissa's Season of Love
Alissa's See Throughs
Alissa's See Throughs, the dates
And I have some layouts to share as well:
I'll have more to share in a few days!
